Normandeau Associates Holds Annual Meeting

Events

December 14th, 2022, marked Normandeau’s Annual Company Meeting. Over 80 employees of the 100% ESOP employee-owned company joined both in person and virtually to review the successes of 2022 and goals for 2023. Presentations included an introduction from Board Chair Todd Black and reports from CEO Curt Thalken, CFO John Mokas, President Robert Varney, and ESOP Advisory Committee Chair Sammy Cyr.

Normandeau employees congratulated re-elected board member Robert Varney and welcomed newly elected outside board members Jane Stahl and John Gilbert. Ms. Stahl has over 40 years of experience as an environmental policymaker, regulator, and consultant. Mr. Gilbert has over 30 years of experience in the environmental consulting arena including 16 years of founding and running his own environmental engineering and consulting firm. These nominees were chosen by an internal Nominations Committee who reviewed many candidates before choosing Ms. Stahl and Mr. Gilbert. Join us as we welcome them to the Board of Directors.

During this year’s presentation, Normandeau also said farewell to long-time outside board member Elizabeth Levin. Liz joined the board in 2003 as Normandeau’s first outside director. She diligently worked to update company bylaws in 2008/2009 and organized and led the Nominations Committee that was formed that same year. Her presence on the board played a huge role in the long-term success of our employee-owned company. As a small thank you for her nearly 20 years on the board, Normandeau gifted Liz a beautifully framed and personalized photo that one of our employees took of Cape Cod Canal.

ESOP Advisory Committee Chair Sammy Cyr also presented our 2023 Employee Photo Calendar Grand Prize Contest Winner: Jake Reynolds with his Milky Way with Foreground (see below).
