Normandeau Associates, an environmental consulting firm, truly enjoyed participating in NHBSR’s virtual conference last week. What a great time! Staying Strong: A New Decade of Thrivability offered an inspiring array of sessions and presenters from some of New Hampshire’s most successful, innovative, and socially and environmentally conscious organizations. It was a pleasure to hear so many leaders striving for sensitivity and flexibility in the face of the many challenges of 2020. A main takeaway from all of the sessions was the theme of support: How can we more adequately support our employees, our community, and our clients from an informed, empathetic perspective? Support, understanding, and flexibility stimulates growth—and growth is beneficial to the entire ecosystem of an organization.
Normandeau was particularly proud to be this year’s sponsor of the Cornerstone award. The NHBSR Cornerstone Award is presented to a company or individual that exemplifies the principles of corporate social responsibility, and promotes the concepts of CSR to the greater New Hampshire business community. One of Normandeau’s Vice Presidents, Kerrie Diers, had the honor of introducing this year’s NHBSR Cornerstone award to Stonyfield Organic! Stonyfield has exemplified the qualities of what it means to produce healthy products and nurture a healthy community both within and without its organization. We share our sincere congratulations to this well-deserving recipient.
Kerrie also had the pleasure of announcing NHBSR’s newest Cornerstone Hall of Fame inductees. This particular honor is given to companies that have not only won the Cornerstone award in the past, but have continued to execute this shared vision of sustainability and commitment to their communities, organizations, and the environment. Congratulations to this year’s newest Hall of Fame members: Hypertherm and Monadnock.
