We maintain a Corporate Health and Safety Plan that details procedures based on OSHA regulations and current best practices. Many Normandeau field crew members maintain various certifications and are prepared to conduct work at most project sites without delay—a unique capability credential of our ecological services team.

Corey Francis

Health & Safety Manager

Mr. Francis is a certified quality auditor and a member of the American Society for Quality. Mr. Francis has performed Quality Assurance Audits of NPDES sampling, REMP sampling, biological laboratory analysis, and other field sampling efforts for nearly a decade. Mr. Francis is a member of The National Safety Council.

Mr. Francis is a certified Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) trainer and is responsible for the recertification of the company employees in OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) 8-HR refresher training and 40-HR HAZWOPER training. Mr. Francis is a certified Red Cross FA/CPR/AED instructor, tracks certification, and recertifies employees. Mr. Francis performs annual respirator fit tests for personnel in one of our three laboratories. He also conducts yearly formaldehyde hazard communications training, and many other industry-required safety training classes for company employees.

Additionally, Mr. Francis serves as a senior scientist and field crew leader at Normandeau. He has extensive experience conducting studies on migratory fish. Mr. Francis is also experienced at working with endangered and threatened turtle species.
