Normandeau Associates, Inc., one of the nation’s largest science-based environmental consulting firms, is seeking candidates for multiple, temporary, part-time Biological Technician positions.
Biological technicians will assist supervising fisheries biologists with all field-performed duties. The biological technicians will gain valuable field research fishery skills with collection, counting, handling, and transport of anadromous, catadromous, and invasive species at the Conowingo Hydroelectric Project within the lower Susquehanna River (Conowingo, MD). This work is scheduled to be performed from early April through late June, depending on the location; however, opportunities may exist for extended work.
We are also seeking dependable and efficient seasonal CDL truck drivers. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working with a team. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must. All CDL holder must have a minimum of a Class B license with N endorsements. All CDL drivers must comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
Qualified candidates must hold a high school diploma, pass mandatory drug & alcohol screenings as well as possess a valid driver’s license & have reliable transportation. Collegiate graduates and students are encouraged to apply. Weekend and travel availability is required. Safe boating practices and fish identification skills are a plus. Candidates should be able to work in the U.S. without Company sponsorship.

This position will be based either in our Bedford or Portsmouth, NH office, with an emphasis on wetland science and permitting to support clients in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. The most qualified candidate will:
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in an environmental field and a minimum of five years’ experience or a Master’s degree with three years’ experience as a consultant, and be either a NH CWS or PWS. Consideration will be given to those who are not NH CWS or PWS if they can demonstrate the ability to complete NH CWS certification in the next 12 months. Expertise in soil morphology is a plus.
