scott river. In 2008, Scott River and Shasta River were identified as high priority watersheds. As the state agency responsible for conserving, protecting, and managing California's fish, wildlife, and native plant resources, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) is implementing a collaborative process to collect information, identify issues and concerns, and define future study needs. This collaboration process could include steps to evaluate instream and out-of-stream water use in the Scott and Shasta valleys.
