Areva Contracts Normandeau Associates for Transmission Work at Calvert Cliffs | | Bedford, NH — Monday, July 14, 2008 — Normandeau Associates, Inc. was contracted by AREVA, Inc. to undertake an analysis for the impacts of the transmission facilities and to develop monitoring plans for a new nuclear reactor proposed by Unistar at their Calvert Cliffs, Maryland location. Normandeau Associates scientists were brought in to assist with the project to help meet the difficult schedule of the Combined Operating License Application (COLA) submittal to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Normandeau Associates examined the transmission route and potential impacts to wetlands, wildlife and operational impacts required to maintain the transmission facilities. The assistance provided by Normandeau Associates scientists helped meet the schedule for submittal. |
