For over 40 years we have providing unparalleled biological laboratory services to clients nationwide.  We operate three biological laboratories dedicated to the analysis of freshwater, estuarine, and marine samples including:

• Ichthyoplankton
• Zooplankton
• Phytoplankton and periphyton
• Algae
• Fish identification, age and growth and food preference

Our three laboratories located in Bedford, New Hampshire, Falmouth, Massachusetts, and Stowe, Pennsylvania, provide a level of capability rare in the biological laboratory field. The combined strength of our three laboratories ensures compliance with all project schedules with the highest quality.  Our senior staff has more than 150 years of combined taxonomic experience. The efficiency gained from processing thousands of samples each year makes our biological laboratory program cost-effective for small to very large multi-year programs.  Our laboratories consist of over 4,000 sq. ft. of work space. For major processing efforts, additional space and equipment are available to quickly and efficiently expand our laboratory team. 

We have an established Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program that follows standard protocols for sample processing and analysis. In addition, we recognize the importance of following project-specific protocols to provide clients with the consistent data needed for long-term monitoring programs. Our QC programs utilize reprocessing of the sorting and identification components to achieve the desired outgoing quality level established for each project.  Samples are selected blind using Mil-Standard or other methods.
