transmission. We recognize the importance to energy providers to transmit new green energy or increase electric reliability. As such, we are committed to providing the highest quality EIS, siting and permitting services for your transmission line projects. We are able to assemble highly talented teams with outstanding technical capabilities and experience relevant to the needs of your project.

We provide technical services required to determine the suitability of a site or corridor for the development and successful permitting of your facility. Our staff members have conducted numerous siting studies for transmission lines, substations, and pipeline rights of way both on land and under water. We have extensive expertise in preparing materials needed to support Federal and state Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for energy-related projects. Our team works closely with clients and agency personnel to identify key project issues early in the process, expediting the environmental assessment process while minimizing regulatory risk and cost.

The credibility of our team is enhanced by the experience and reputation of our senior managers. Normandeau is the only environmental consulting firm with former regional directors of the US EPA and the US Army Corps of Engineers in the same firm. As leaders of these federal agencies, they worked on numerous EIS and permitting projects, especially those that were the most complex and controversial. Our reputation for high-quality work and our excellent working relationships with federal and state agencies at the project staff and senior levels enables us to deliver a high-quality EIS and permits quickly and efficiently.
