Normandeau Associates has been awarded a 5-year extension to our indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract with the General Services Administration (GSA) for environmental services.

The GSA has prequalified Normandeau to make it easier for Federal contracting officers to award environmental contracts, i.e., capabilities have been reviewed and rates have been negotiated. All a Federal customer must do is place an order directly with a GSA schedule contractor, such as Normandeau. Federal customers can significantly reduce the time required to obtain services to as little as two weeks. Lastly, the relationship between the contractor and the customer is a direct one - the customer need not transfer funds to GSA.

Over the last five years, Normandeau Associates has completed hundreds of projects throughout the country encompassing environmental assessments, impact statements, and specialized environmental studies in support of planning activities. Our substantial number of broadly trained environmental professionals, including scientists, planners and engineers, possess specialized technical training and expertise in particular disciplines required to perform EIAs, as well as broad-based impact assessment experience on diverse projects in a wide array of locations and environments. Our success in providing environmental planning services stems from the technical credentials of our staff and our ability to routinely apply an integrated multidisciplinary approach on projects. Our professional staff is also intimately familiar with the regulatory requirements that define the context within which many EIA activities must be performed.

Among the types of studies and support services we offer to help customers meet these requirements are:

• Formal EA/EIS documentation;
• Endangered Species field surveys and support for informal or formal agency consultation under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act;
• Habitat restoration planning and implementation;
• Wetlands delineations and permitting support;
• Natural Resource and Watershed management plans, studies, and consultations, including regulatory analyses, feasibility assessments, exposure assessments, and risk analyses, and
• Modeling of surface and ground water resources, biological resources, and impact assessment.

Normandeau Associates provides a variety of GIS services for utility, public agency, and industrial clients. These services range from the specification and acquisition of original aerial photography and digitization to comprehensive GIS systems development required for a specific project. GIS projects in aquatic and terrestrial ecology, geology, and natural resource inventory and management benefit from the depth of scientific experience of the Normandeau staff. Combining the experience of these scientists with an experienced GIS staff, Normandeau has been able to develop cutting-edge GIS applications for its clients. Our systems are PC-based which allows many clients to access data in applications especially developed by our staff.
