Mark Hutchins Joins Water Resources Group of Normandeau Associates

Bedford, NH. November 30, 2006 – Mark Hutchins, a water resources engineer with over 30 years experience has joined Normandeau Associates as the Senior Technical Manager of the Water Resources Group in New England. During his career Mark has focused on issues of water quality and quality for rivers, lakes and estuaries. He has directed projects that include lake and river modeling, discharge impact assessments, and water quality impacts for various types of industrial, commercial, and residential facilities. He has a special expertise with respect to the issues related to hydroelectric relicensing.

Recently, Mr. Hutchins has been actively involved in the preparation of NEPA documentation and compliance for ski area developments on U.S. Forest Service Lands. These projects address snow-making and minimum flow issues, endangered species, water supply and water discharge permitting.

Over his career, Mr. Hutchins has consulted for a variety of clients including: electric utilities; hydropower generation companies; water companies; ski developers; industrial dischargers; and federal and state agencies.
