Steve Leach Joins Westmoreland, NH Office of Normandeau Associates, Inc.

Bedford, NH. September 8, 2006 – Normandeau Associates, Inc., announced that Mr. Steve Leach has joined the organization as Senior Scientist.  Mr. Leach will be based in Normandeau’s Westmoreland, NH office. 

Prior to joining Normandeau, Mr. Leach worked for the South Carolina DNR where he was a Project Leader at the Dennis Wildlife Center in Bonneau, SC.  Mr. Leach has worked with Normandeau over the past few years on its Santee Cooper relicensing project in which he managed the hydroacoustic fish counting system at the Pinopolis Lock, and the St. Stephen's fish lift at the ACOE hydro station on the Santee River.  Mr. Leach brings a wealth of knowledge to Normandeau with the work he conducted primarily with diadromous species, including shad, herring, sturgeon (shortnose and Atlantic), eels, and striped bass. 

Mr. Leach is a valuable addition to the Normandeau team with his strong statistical background, and experience using radio and acoustic tracking methods.  In his role as project manager he will provide technical review of reports and study plans, and will expand Normandeau’s statistical capabilities relative to data analysis.
