Normandeau Associates Conducts Environmental
Studies for Quoddy Bay LNG Facility
Bedford, NH. September 8, 2006 – Normandeau
Associates, Inc., subcontracted by TRC, has been assisting with the preparation
of environmental reports in support of the FERC licensing efforts for
the Quoddy Bay LNG facility located at Pleasant Point, Maine.
Normandeau has been performing field surveys on Eel grass, shellfish, benthos, vernal pools and wetlands with the overall objective of evaluating the affects that implementing an LNG facility may have on commercial fish, shellfish, and terrestrial habitats.
Normandeau, due its extensive experience in permitting similar LNG facilities on the east coast, was selected by TRC to work on this multi-year project. Normandeau brings additional value to the project because of its long work history with the State of Maine and its regulatory agencies.
