Normandeau to Assist Minerals Management Service (MMS) with Data Search and Literature Synthesis


Bedford, New Hampshire. October 8, 2007 – Normandeau Associates, Inc. announces the award as a subcontractor to Mangi Environmental Services, Inc. of McClean, Virginia, for a contract with the US Department of the Interior’s Minerals Management Service, to provide literature review and synthesis services that cover the Atlantic Ocean off shore resources from the US/Canadian border to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and includes all Federal marine waters within the US EEZ or Exclusive Economic Zone.  The purpose of the project is to update the understanding of the ecological communities, the dominant oceanographic and other processes that drive the shelf and deep sea ecosystems, and the potential sensitivities to the area.  Project areas of inquiry include geological, biological and chemical oceanography as well as social and economic sciences.
