Normandeau Associates, Inc. completes acquisition of Marine
Research, Inc., located in Falmouth, MA.
Bedford, NH. February 8, 2006 – Normandeau Associates,
Inc. (www.normandeau.com),
announced its acquisition of Marine Research, Inc., a Massachusetts
corporation based in Falmouth, MA. The acquisition was completed on
February 2, 2006.
Marine Research, Inc. (www.marineresearchinc.com), specializing in marine consulting and biological laboratory services, works primarily with electric utility companies in New England that require biological studies dealing with baseline data and NPDES permitting requirements. The company also provides services to engineering firms, other industry sectors and the government. In business since 1971, the Marine Research staff includes 12-15 professionals with several biologists having advanced degrees and several years’ experience in the marine sciences.
This acquisition enhances Normandeau Associates’ marine capabilities in field, lab and consulting work, and will provide additional opportunities for Normandeau Associates to serve all levels of the public and private sectors that are faced with challenges in the marine environment. It will also provide Normandeau a strong local presence in Massachusetts.
