Wind Energy Projects in Northern New England Turn to Normandeau

Bedford, NH.  March 31, 2008 – Normandeau Associates is assisting with natural resource surveys and permitting tasks for confidential wind energy development projects located in northern New England.  Normandeau is responsible for the completion of wetland delineations, rare species/communities investigations, and wildlife surveys.  The surveys are being completed within proposed development areas required to accommodate turbine arrays on six mountain ridgelines, as well as through more than 15 miles of transmission line corridors and 18 miles of access roads.

In addition, Normandeau is leading the project team in preparing and submitting Federal and State environmental permit applications.  In support of the permitting tasks Normandeau is managing a team of subcontractors to complete specialized technical tasks which include: soil surveys; visual simulations and impact assessments; noise evaluations; archaeological and historic resource inventories; and impact assessments.
